WHAT do you need to do to put your fears aside?
What would you be able to do, create and accomplish? If you really take the time to imagine this; you’ll feel like a big weight has been lifted from your shoulders. By destroying FEAR you can begin living and feel the freedom you have always desired.
Our poor beliefs and insecurities keep us chained to get success, harmony and happiness. If we didn’t buy-in to the fear, it would have no power over us.
How do you overcome fear? I came from good parents but a father that always told me to watch out for this or that. He warned me and warned me about this or that and more; all the while to “protect” me from life. Let me tell you, years and years of hearing; no, don’t do that, watch out for this… takes a toll on the emotions.
I developed a fear of what others thought of me; fear of how I looked, fear if I was good enough; smart enough, fear of being rejected, fear of not being loved and much more but I think you get the idea.
Late in my teenager time I began to listen to Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Les Brown, Dennis Waitley and more and my fear began to get replaced with positive ideas and the possibility of being success, self-worth and happy, etc. I remember being just 18 years of age and listening to these great speaks tell ME; that I could do it, that I could succeed, that I can visualize success and a life of happiness and abundance. Thank God I was young and nave; because I bought into it hook, line and sinker! This didn’t happen overnight!
My decision to be an entrepreneur has been a HUGE benefit in helping me overcome many of the fears and limiting beliefs that I had had carried inside of me until this point.
The first time I had to speak to a group, I was extremely nervous and intimidated… But I did it, and today I love speaking to others in person, on video and cherish the opportunity to inspire those around me.
After taking the actions, becasue I believe in myself, the more I got involved with the word “can do” information; the more I overcame that fear. In other words, the “taking action” was in itself a cure for FEAR.
Does owning a business cause or cure fear? I feel owning your own business is so much more than making money, financial success or anything tied to material things. Don’t misunderstand me, those things are fine but WHO you become is the most valuable of all.
There are many people “get into” a business and worry about marketing, selling, promoting and more but rarely take enough action towards their mindset.

The ‘Head’ Game That Is Network Marketing

As I sat down to write this article today, I didn’t know what direction I was going to go. That said, I started to think about a very significant life experience I had almost two years ago. It was the most devastating thing to happen in my life personally, but it has significantly changed my network marketing career. Huh? Read on and I’ll explain.
After I had left my job working for a network marketing company and started my own MLM business, I was excited to get cracking on building my huge, worldwide organization and couldn’t wait to earn $100K/month! ‘Boy, would life be different!’ I’ve mentioned before that it was a tough reality to face. I had taught network marketing principles for my employed company and coached distributors on how to build their organizations. I will say, that teaching (or preaching) from books read is VERY different from actually DOING the activities. It was such an eye-opener.
When I started my MLM business, I was in a great place mentally. As I mentioned, I had been reading pretty religiously and loved the self-development piece. I just hadn’t developed my skills yet. When I’d face a challenge in building my business, I’d go looking for an answer. I continued to go to networking events and joined recreational groups to expand my network. During one of these meetings, I met my friend Judith who was also a fellow-network marketer. She invited me to meet her business coach, Jeffrey Combs, and attend a one-day seminar he was conducting.
I didn’t know who Jeffrey Combs was, but because my friend Judith asked me to meet him, I was in. I drove to San Diego for his training and was truly blown away by what he was teaching. I hired him as my coach part of that program was a 2 1/2 seminar with Jeffrey titled, ‘Breakthroughs to Success.’
I can’t even begin to explain what happened at the Breakthroughs seminar. I will only say that what I took away from it was nothing short of life-changing. I didn’t learn techniques or concepts, I learned what was holding me back internally. I had had the toughest year of my life. I had experienced some very large challenges personally and they turned my world upside down. What I didn’t know at the time, but I have learned now, was that that one bad experience set into motion some of the most positive things that have come to me in my life.
How did I go from really bad experience to being in one of the best places I’ve ever been? When this particular challenge happened, I had to really take a look inside to see what led to it. I had to face some emotions and decisions that I had made to get me into that situation. I realized that I had made the situation, but what I realized, was that if I had the power to create a bad experience, I also had the power to create great experiences. I got my self there, I could get myself out and create only great things. I understood the power of our thoughts, our actions and our results!
So, from this realization, I understood how powerful the mind can be. I learned how to forgive, to move on from this life-lesson, and turn the rest of my life into MY life by controlling my thoughts, which lead to my actions. I had an opportunity for years to uproot my life and move out West, but didn’t do it FOR other people. Two months after this life experience, I was packing up my family and moving, ultimately for everyone, but really for ME. Six months after that, I flat out quit the job that had become such a negative monkey on my back. I made major decisions to CONTROL my life rather than letting the, ‘What if’ scenario get in the way…i.e. ‘What if I move to California and don’t like it?’ ‘What if I leave this stable job and can’t make it work as a Network Marketing Professional?’ ‘What if…..’
The ‘What if’s’ had to go because what I realized was that when I controlled my actions, I controlled the outcomes. I believe that I will be a network marketing phenomenon, I believe that California is the place for me. There is no place for ‘What ifs.’ I will find the correct path no matter what.
I haven’t reached all my goals yet, but I’m working positively towards them. As I’ve taken this journey, I have me the people I needed to meet in order to move me forward in my career. When I’m experiencing a challenge, I always find the solution I need because I expect it. It has been so amazing to see how all this works and I wish EVERYONE was realize this. I know, however, most won’t. It’s a sad reality.
My life and my attitude are SO changed now. I see this incredible future that so few will ever experience because they will never get it. Their thoughts won’t let them. So, now, my thinking is to only attract people into my business that ‘get it.’ Because these are the ones that will do whatever it takes. They may not be instant producers or instant success stories, but they will stick with it because they have no doubts that they will be top producers. I want to work with only those who don’t dwell on the negatives and the challenges. They see the challenges as learning experiences and know that this journey wouldn’t be right without them! Those are the people I have attracted and will continue to attract because my head will allow nothing else! If you’ve stuck in long enough into this article and are still reading.
