How do website owners get their site to the top of the search engines list? It has to do with something called backlinks. If your site reaches the number one spot on Google or any of the other search engines its because of us. When we do our looking around the Internet every site we visit gets a backlink. The more backlinks a site has the higher in the ranking of the search engine.
There are different types of backlinks. The one-way backlink is where you have a link to someone’s site on your webpage. The thing that makes it one-way is that webpage doesn’t have a link to yours. Then you have the two-way backlink. This you can imagine has a link to another webpage and they have a link to yours. It seems that the new fad for the search engines is the one-way backlink. So if you have a webpage it would pay to keep that in mind.
How do you get the one-way backlinks that you need for your website so badly? There are a couple of very successful ways. They also happen to not be the easy options out there so you need to be dedicated.
1. 1. You need to try and get high-ranking sites to link to yours. Contact their webmasters. If you have a blog on your site tell them that you will place several blogs about their products, specials, or customer service record. Anything to help one that door with a webmaster that already has his site at the top of the search engine lists. Some of them may say no, but keep trying. The reason why having your link on a high ranking site helps is they noticed first by the search engines. If they have a one-way backlink to your site the search engine will look at you too.
2. The next is the main reason why people give up. It is because the second method is article marketing. That may sound simple, but I am not talking about five or ten articles. You will need at least twenty to thirty articles before you start seeing any results. This does produce results. Some of the top marketers that have different sites may use up into the hundreds of articles.
Look at blogs, industry specific directory listing and other directories while doing research for one-way backlinks. This way you can make sure you find the best solution for you.
