If you decide to give direct sales a try, you need to commit to giving it at least a year before you call it quits. And, that is a year of working your business, not letting it sit collecting dust.

Affiliate Sales

Affiliate marketing is the easiest, least costly way to begin earning money at home. An affiliate markets a particular company’s product in exchange for a set dollar amount or commission. Joining a company as an affiliate is free. You do not even need a website. Good affiliate programs will provide their affiliates with all of the marketing materials necessary. This includes various kinds of ad copy, articles for article marketing, banners and other kinds of images. Another thing to keep in mind is this. If you are an affiliate for a digital product, be sure that you get a fair commission. Do not settle for less than 50%.

Selling Your Own Product

If you have a fabulous new product that you would like to sell online, it is a little bit more involved than getting involved with a direct sales company or affiliate marketing. You might want to think about hiring professional help to get your business off to a good start so you can make money working from home. Selling an e-book or recording online is much easier than selling a physical product that you have created, which is why outside assistance may be a good investment long-term.
